Featured in this lot is this Lincoln, NM mercantile ledger signed by A.A. McSween circa 1879; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. Alexander McSween (June 15, 1837 — July 19, 1878) was a prominent figure during the Lincoln County War of the Old West, and a central character, alongside John Tunstall, in opposing businessmen and gunmen Lawrence Murphy and James Dolan. The ledger is of the mercantile persuasion from 1879 and includes the regards of the estate of A.A. McSween. The ledger comes with the original museum tag that reads as follows: 1879 Lincoln, NM - Mercantile ledger regarding the estate of A.A. McSween. The condition of this of this piece of ledger is preserved with some browning to the page and seems to be only a segment of the entire ledger. The measurements of this ledger ephemera is 8 1/2" x 3 1/2". LO99
